Hippie Sandwich

As I took my morning walk yesterday morning through the streets of Los Feliz, I stopped at Fred 62 to eat a nice meal before my first day at Grey Boutique. I ordered my usual the Hippie Sandwich, which is SCRUMP-DELI-UMPTOUS! As I walk back home I found this hippie lovin' woman listening to music while stretching and doing backstrokes in the air like she was swimming in a pool. A little further I saw this free spirit smiling and kissing the sky. I don't like to judge people so I just try to understand them and if I can't come to a conclusion I simply smile and accept that the most interesting and diverse people make this world such a more intriguing place to live in. Just like the people who attend award events or trucking down the runways in extravagant ensembles, consistently trains me to keep being open minded to new things. What a great morning that started my day off with some hippie love.
Peace & Love

Grey Boutique

So I work at Grey Boutique now on Sunset and took some photos of the jewelry displays I put together yesterday. I also changed the mannequin from Minimalist Chic to a more Bohemian Hippie. Let me know if you love it because I do and PROUD of it! Come and buy some outrageously beautiful jewelry!!! Click on the images to view them larger, they are ALL a must see :)

Let's Give Them Something To Blog About!

People are talkin, talking 'bout people
I hear them whisper, you won't believe it
It took a rumor to make me wonder
Now I'm convinced I'm going under
Thinking 'bout you every day
Dreaming 'bout you every night
Hoping that you feel the same way
Now that we know it, let's really show it!

Let's give them something to talk about
A little mystery to figure out
Let's give them something to talk about
How about love, love, love, love?!

Song Lyrics by Raitt Bonnie, "Lets give them something to talk about" stuck out in my mind once I saw all of these gorgeous and different hues strutting down the runways for Spring 2011. Not only did I get inspired by the runways I also took walks on the streets around my area, searched online, and found the trends to be very relatable to myself as well. Fall in love, and wear them right either being casual or elegant because these are the seasons must-haves! Check out the 4 trends in the following posts: Vodka & Caviar, Tribal Disco, Springing Up Sherbert, and Black Black, Black & Blue.

Vodka & Caviar

As I was getting pampered at my local Nail to Toe Nail Salon drinking champagne and soaking my feet, I chose a color red for my mani-pedi, which was called Vodka & Caviar. I thought this would be a great name for a blog post so I thought to myself hmm...What would portray this name in a fashionable way? Then it came to me instantly! Blacks, reds, tans, and whites complementing each other so well in a Cruella Devil kind of way. Inspiration was derived from the streets, like local bookstores I passed by on my morning walks to the Red Carpet, Spring 2011 Runways, Topshop pieces, and recent outfits I've worn straight from my closet. Wouldn't you say its time for bloodymary mornings or happy hour martini's with a rich side appetizer? I think so!

Springing up Sherbet

Spring 2011 Runways of Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, and Diane von Furstenberg were just some designers who collaborated great hues into their collections. Mix it up with stripes, prints, or just throw together some bolds in Bright Lilacs, Luscious Reds, Salmon Corals, Tangerine Oranges, and Bubblicious Pinks this Spring. I scream, you scream, we all scream for Sherbet! Let's reach our 60's and 70's potential this season by purchasing such colors to brighten up our closets. Get some great accessory pieces like oversized straw hats, beaded/chained necklaces dropping low, as well as earrings, and bracelets. OOH, and don't forget to grab some great scarves because they're so versatile, make it into a hair wrap, neck scarf, sarong, and/or purse candy. Now with styles, I'd choose a bright pair of satin or silk high waisted trousers or shorts, paired with either a printed swimsuit and a bold colorful blouse or vice versa. However, if you like to keep it simple choose a printed or striped dress tunic and bold heels. Get it? Got it? GOOD :)
